A Fresh Chapter for Early Learning in Kamloops: Introducing the Early Learning Society of Kamloops

Kamloops, BC – Exciting news for families in Kamloops! Children’s Circle Daycare Society is now the Early Learning Society of Kamloops, a name that better reflects who we are today and the diverse ways we serve children and families. Alongside this name change, we’re thrilled to reveal our new logo—a vibrant, meaningful symbol of our mission and values.

Honouring Our Roots

For nearly three decades, the name Children’s Circle Daycare Society has been synonymous with quality care and early childhood education in Kamloops. This rich legacy forms the foundation upon which we’re building our future. As our services expanded to include innovative early learning programs, we recognized the need for a name that reflects the breadth of what we offer and where we’re headed.

 

Why the Change?

During recent strategic planning sessions , we envisioned our future and clarified our purpose: Inspiring Children, Strengthening Families, Building Community. With a mission to build brighter futures through accessible, high-quality early learning, family engagement, and community advocacy, we knew our name had to reflect this broader commitment. View our 2024-2029 Strategic Plan.  

The name Early Learning Society of Kamloops captures everything we do—supporting children, families, and educators with innovative programs and a focus on quality early childhood education. We’re more than daycare; we’re shaping the future of our community through learning and connection.

A Logo with Meaning

Our new logo emerged from thoughtful conversations about who we are and what we stand for. At the base, two flowing rivers represent the North and South Thompson Rivers, grounding us in Kamloops’ heritage and symbolizing nurturing support. From these roots, two upstretched hands in varying tones form the tree's trunk and signify our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and strong community partnerships—from educators and families to the Kamloops community at large. 

At the heart of the logo is a child, leading with boundless imagination. The child envisions a gear, magnifying glass, and musical note inside a glowing lightbulb, which forms the tree's leaves. This captures the essence of our child-led approach, where innovation, curiosity, and creativity flourish. Our new logo beautifully illustrates how we nurture growth, guided by each child's unique journey.

Looking Ahead

“Our new name and logo are much more than a refresh—they embody our vision and the work we do every day,” says Chelsey Mack, President of the Early Learning Society of Kamloops. “We’re here to nurture each child’s unique journey in an environment that values diversity and strengthens families. Our L-E-A-R-N objectives guide everything we do: Leadership, Equity, Advocacy, Resiliency, and Nurturing well-being.”

This change marks an exciting new chapter as we continue to expand our services and deepen our impact for families in Kamloops and beyond. Whether through infant and toddler care, preschool programs, or school-age enrichment, we’re here to make every child’s experience extraordinary.
