Infant Program

In our Infant Program (3-18 months), educators create a safe and loving environment to support your baby’s growth. At this stage, babies are naturally curious, exploring the world through their senses. Our caring educators build trust and emotional connections through gentle interactions that encourage learning and growth. Flexible routines allow babies to explore at their own pace, adjusting to their changing needs. Every day brings new opportunities for discovery and developing communication skills!

Licensed by the Ministry of Health: Community Care Licensing and adhere to Provincial Child Care Licensing Regulations.
Lead Early Childhood Educators in Infant rooms hold specialized Infant/Toddler certificates from the BC Registry. Ratios are 1 Educator: 4 children.

The Daily Drift

Morning:

Welcome: Each child is greeted with smiles and warmth, helping them transition smoothly into their day.
Nurturing Care: Staff offer diaper changes, and cuddles, fostering comfort and reassurance for children.
Exploration and Play: Infants are engaged in sensory activities, such as exploring textures, colors, and sounds, to stimulate their curiosity and development.
Shared Snack: Children gather to share a nutritious snack, such as cut-up fruits or soft vegetables, to refuel and energize.
Outdoor Time: Babies move to outdoor exploration in our dedicated Infant/Toddler play space or our second level play patio for fresh air and gentle sunlight, allowing them to experience the outdoors and focus on activities that promote gross motor development. This can also be the perfect time for a stroller walk around our welcoming neighbourhood.

Midday:

Hot Nutritious Lunch: A balanced and nourishing meal is offered to children, featuring healthy options like pureed vegetables, grains, and proteins, to support growth and development.
Quiet Time: Infants enjoy a calm environment for rest and relaxation, with soft music or gentle stories to soothe and comfort. Individual napping schedules are usually tailored to meet the needs of individual children however infants often develop similar nap schedules as they spend more time together.

Afternoon:

Group Play: Group activities are offered, such as songs, rhymes, and simple games, to encourage social interaction and bonding.
Shared Snack: Afternoon snack opportunity, such as whole-grain crackers with dip or yogurt with fruit.
Late Afternoon Outdoor Time: Cooler afternoon weather allows for another outdoor session, allowing babies to explore and engage with their surroundings.
