Our licensed program offers a longer day - 4 hours instead of the typical 2.5 - giving children more time to build deep connections, engage in meaningful learning, and develop essential social-emotional skills.
Designed for children ages 3-5, our program runs four days a week in a safe, welcoming environment located in Kamloops' quiet Sagebrush neighbourhood. With low educator to child ratios and highly experienced early childhood educators, we provide the kind of individual attention and responsive care that helps children thrive.
Our approach is rooted in the BC Early Learning Framework and emphasizes inquiry-based, hands-on learning. Each day includes open-ended experiences in nature, art, and science - all within thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
And for added convenience, children enjoy a nutritious morning snack and hot lunch every day, freshly prepared on-site. Hot Meal Program

Our ECEs are certified, highly knowledgeable, and passionate about early learning. Many have served Kamloops families for decades and bring a deep understanding of how young children learn best.
Smaller group sizes mean your child receives more one-on-one attention and support throughout the day, fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection.
No need to pack a lunch - we serve a daily nutritious snack and hot lunch to keep your child energized and focused on learning.
Children explore natural materials, creative arts, and hands-on science in both indoor and outdoor environments that are carefully curated around for discovery and wonder.

Our new 12,000 square foot, purpose-built facility is fully secure for peace of mind - and our spacious, dedicated outdoor play areas invite children to engage in nature-inspired exploration. From natural play installations to garden spaces, every aspect is thoughtfully designed for safe, imaginative, and enriching outdoor learning.
What Parents Are Saying...
"We have had an amazing experience at the Early Learning Society preschool! The teachers are truly exceptional—they are caring, patient, and always made learning fun and engaging for our child. The outdoor space is fantastic, offering plenty of room for the children to explore and play, which has been a huge part of their development. The teachers pay attention to what the children are showing an interest in and create learning opportunities to nurture their curiosity. My daughter was excited to go every day and made the nicest friends that we are still in touch with. We couldn't be happier with the nurturing environment and the wonderful community at this preschool!" ~Katie B.

Socio-emotional learning helps preschoolers develop essential skills like understanding their feelings, managing emotions, and interacting with others. Activities like sharing, taking turns, and problem-solving with peers support these skills. When children practice these behaviours, they build confidence, learn to handle challenges, and form positive relationships with others—skills that are crucial for a smooth transition to kindergarten and future success in school.
As preschool-aged children prepare for the move to kindergarten, mastering transitions plays a crucial role in their readiness for this new chapter. Learning to navigate transitions smoothly helps children develop essential skills such as self-regulation, flexibility, and time management. Whether it's transitioning from one activity to another, moving between different environments, or adjusting to new routines, mastering transitions fosters independence and confidence. By practicing effective transition strategies in preschool, children build the resilience and adaptability needed to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.
