In our Toddler Program (19-36 months), we celebrate your child's growing independence and curiosity. This is a time of active exploration, where toddlers are encouraged to discover, learn, and engage through child-led, hands-on experiences and play-based activities. From sensory exploration and imaginative play to early literacy and numeracy, our interest-driven curriculum will spark your toddler's imagination. Educators focus on supporting language development, social skills, and self-help tasks such as feeding, dressing, and toileting, nurturing autonomy and a sense of accomplishment. We encourage your child to interact with peers, helping them communicate, solve problems, and build positive relationships. Families are invited to actively participate in their child's learning journey.
* The schedule shown is just a glimpse, with each day flowing organically to reflect the unique needs and curiosities of the children.
We prioritize the development of self-help skills among toddlers. Child-sized toilets, sinks and tables support independence. Through patient guidance and encouragement, children learn to dress themselves, put on coats and boots, tidy up their play areas, and gain independence in toileting routines. They also participate in mealtime activities such as setting the table and cleaning up afterwards. These experiences not only promote a sense of autonomy but also instill confidence and resilience in our young learners, setting the stage for their future success and independence.
Exploratory play is encouraged as a fundamental aspect of learning. Children engage in open-ended activities that stimulate their curiosity and creativity, such as building with blocks, experimenting with sensory materials, and investigating natural objects. Through these experiences, they develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and a deep appreciation for the world around them. Our learning environment is purposefully designed to foster exploration and discovery, providing children with endless opportunities to learn and grow through play.
Our approach to promoting toileting independence focuses on each child's readiness and individual needs, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Staff offer positive reinforcement through encouragement and praise to build confidence and self-esteem. Consistent routines help children recognize their body signals and establish healthy habits. We collaborate closely with families to ensure a consistent approach at home and in the centre. Educators create a comfortable, safe environment with child-friendly facilities to support children in this important developmental milestone.
